Structure 19 Sondage flythrough

Structure 19 was a brushwood structure excavated in 2014 running from the north west edge of the Lias island into a former pool, where it terminated in the series of posts visible in the vertical face shown in the video. The structure was unique among the Walpole structures because all of the worked wood used in it was beaver-gnawed rather than sharpened by human action. The vertical posts had clearly been replaced at various times – some could be seen to have been driven into others.

The video shows the sondage exposing the vertical stakes. Most of the brushwood structure has been recorded and removed.
